Filmmaking Workshop – Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival

 

This is a call for applications for students enrolled at Faculty of Theatre and Film, Babeș-Bolyai University, to attend a five-day documentary filmmaking workshop at the Peloponnissos International Documentary Film Festival, in Kalamata, Greece, 27 October – 2 November 2023.

The workshop will be led by filmmaker, professor of media practice and the Faculty of Culture & Creative Industries’ Director of Research Erik Knudsen, and professor Iakovos Panagopoulos, from the Ionian University. During the workshop, the students will collaborate with Greek film and media students in order to create a documentary, which will be screened at the festival upon completion.

Eligibility Criteria
Romanian students MUST be currently enrolled in the Master of Documentary (UBB)
Hungarian students MUST be currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Cinema and Media (UBB)

Application Process
In order to apply, students must submit a CV and a one page motivation statement in English to Dr. Ana Grgic, by email at: ana.grgic@ubbcluj.ro. In the motivation statement, you should include the reasons why you want to attend the five-day workshop, and how you see this experience benefitting your documentary filmmaking practice.
The applications needs to be submitted in English language only.

NOTE – Only complete applications will be considered and evaluated by the selection committee. Students who have been selected will be advised of the committee’s final decision one week after the deadline.
