Școala Doctorală a Facultății de Teatru și Film, Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai, împreună cu Asociația Internațională a Criticilor de Teatru (IATC) și în parteneriat cu Teatrul Național „Lucian Blaga” Cluj-Napoca, invită cercetători, artiști și critici la un colocviu internațional dedicat intersecțiilor dintre teatru și noile tehnologii.

Timp de trei zile, conferința va reuni voci importante din întreaga lume pentru a explora modul în care teatrul, filmul, mediile digitale și inteligența artificială transformă procesele de creație teatrală, performativitatea și experiența spectatorului. Prin prelegeri, studii de caz și spectacole, colocviul va aborda teme esențiale legate de prezență, dramaturgie, receptare și rolul creatorului în contextul scenelor augmentate tehnologic.

Evenimentul își propune să stimuleze dialogul critic și schimbul de cunoaștere în domeniul cercetării performative contemporane.

Prezentările conferinței, în limbile engleză și franceză,  vor avea loc în Sala Club a Colegiului Academic, Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai, Cluj-Napoca, str. Emmanuel de Martonne nr. 1.

Film, Video, Digital and Artificial Intelligence on the Theatre Stage

The Doctoral School of the Faculty of Theatre and Film, Babeș-Bolyai University, together with the International Association of Theatre Critics (IATC) and in partnership with the National Theatre Cluj-Napoca, invites researchers, artists, and critics to an international colloquium dedicated to the intersections between theatre and new technologies.

Over the course of three days, the conference will bring together leading voices from around the world to explore how theatre, film, digital media, and artificial intelligence are reshaping theatrical creation, performativity, and the spectator’s experience. Through lectures, case studies, and performances, the colloquium will address essential topics such as presence, dramaturgy, reception, and artistic agency in technologically augmented stage practices.

The event aims to foster critical dialogue and knowledge exchange in the field of contemporary performance research.

The conference presentations (in English and French) will take place in Sala Club, Academic College, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, 1 Emmanuel de Martonne Street.
